Romance is the most popular genre of fiction in the United States today, representing over 50% of all paperbacks sold. An informal discussion from Sue Grimshaw - with almost a year under her belt as Editor At Large and Category Specialist for Ballantine Bantam Dell/Loveswept, Sue is going to tell us about what she's learned, what it working in the biz and what Random House has to offer.  She will also be taking private pitches during the business portion of the meeting.

Bio - Sue Grimshaw is the Editor At Large and Category Specialist at Random House Ballantine Bantam Dell.  Sue works primarily w/the digital end of the business thus learning how to ride the waves of change that are ongoing of late in the romance industry. Sue is frequently consulted by publishers, and over the years has been honored to speak to thousands of romance writers and readers at conference and workshops.  In 2008 she received the prestigious Vivian Stephens Industry Award from RWA.  Other honors include the Inaugural Orange County RWA's 2008 Helping Hand Industry Award, 2007 & 2005 Colorado RWA Bookseller of the Year Award, and the 2005 RT Book Club Appreciation Award. A voracious reader of romance, devouring three to five books every week, Sue is one of the most knowledgeable people in the industry and truly enjoys sharing her knowledge of the romance genre.
