More great sales to report this month, so let´s get on with it!
NYT best-selling
author Connie Brockway has sold two new novels to Claire Zion at NAL, for publication
beginning in 2006; Christina Dodd sold three new contemporary women's fiction
novels to Kara Welsh at NAL for publication beginning in 2006; and NYT best-selling
author Lisa Kleypass sold three new novels, contemporary women's fiction, to
Jennifer Enderlin at St. Martin's. (Publisher´s Weekly/2-22-05)

Banks sold three more books in her Vampire Huntress Legend series to Monique
Patterson at St. Martin's; Nina Foxx's, JUST SHORT OF CRAZY, an African American
chick lit novel, sold to Carrie Feron at Avon for publication in summer 2005;
and Margo Maguire sold ISABEL'S CHOICE, a medieval romance set in the Scottish
highlands, to Kelly Harms at Avon in a nice deal for two books. (Publisher´s

Avalon Books is now accepting submissions for romantic comedy.
Word count is 40,000-70,000. Query with a 2-3 page synopsis and the first three

Pocket
Books is launching a new line of larger, swanky mass-market paperbacks called
Premium Editions. The launch date is July 2005 and will start with reprints
of popular authors such as Sandra Brown, Barbara Delinsky and Ann Rule, plus
a new title from Jude Deveraux called LASTING IMPRESSIONS. Titles will be priced

Harlequin will launch a co-publishing
partnership in Brazil with Record Publishing Group, beginning on April 1. The
companies plan to issue 100 titles together in the first year. More details
