Margaret Carroll

Margaret Carroll’s second romantic comedy, THE TRUE MATCH, is now available from Avalon Books. It is set in NYC (Margaret’s hometown) and follows the adventures of a young woman trying to get her love life and career back on track after being jilted at the altar. The book is written in the same lighthearted chick-lit style as Margaret’s first novel, THE WRITE MATCH (Avalon).

Margaret has signed with HarperCollins for worldwide English rights to two thrillers. The first, A DARK LOVE, will be published in June 2009 as an international Avon paperback, and tells the story of a young wife who tries to escape an abusive marriage by starting life over in a small Colorado mountain town.

The next book, which she is currently writing, is set in the Hamptons, where a millionaire businessman drowns in his swimming pool after a long night of hard partying. The book is not titled yet, but is planned as a worldwide hardcover release under the Harper imprint in Autumn 2009.

Margaret writes fiction part-time in addition to being a full-time mom and homemaker. Her work builds on 20 years’ global public relations and journalism experience. She has served on award-winning marketing teams, as President of an industry organization dedicated to raising professional standards for public relations professionals, and has traveled the globe.

From 1998 until summer of 2000, she was Director of Advertising & Public Relations for The Luxury Collection and St. Regis hotels, a group of 57 four- and five-star hotels owned/operated by Starwood Hotels & Resorts of White Plains, NY.
