Karen Owens  

 

KAREN WHITE-OWENS is the author of seven romance novels and one novella.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Wayne State University and is currently working toward a Master’s of Library and Information Science.  In addition to writing, Karen works as a Reference Librarian at the Mount Clemens Public Library and teaches freshman essay writing at Wayne State University and Introduction to Libraries at Wayne County Community College District. 

Circles of Love received a 4-1/2 Gold review from Romantic Times Book Club, the highest honor an author can receive and was nominated Best Multicultural Novel of 2004.  Love Changes Everything received 4-1/2 stars from Romantic Times Book Club and top pick for November 2005.  Her latest release, Someone to Love received 4-stars from Romantic Times Book Club and is part of a five books series about the Daniels family. In 2006, she received the Headliner Award from Wayne State’s Alumni Association for women in the media and was voted one of the 101+ Most Admired African American Women in Literature.  Now Until Forever is a December 2006 release and The Way You Aren’t is scheduled for a October 2007 release from Kensington Books.
