The Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America
was formed in 1982 as a non-profit local chapter of Romance Writers of America.
With a current
membership of over 90, GDRWA is dedicated to
promoting the romance genre, and to supporting and
developing the writing
goals of all its members.
Through networking, monthly
meetings, newsletters, conferences, critique sessions and contests,
we at GDRWA
work to provide a stimulating and
productive environment for both the aspiring and the
professional writer.

Ann Smith loves and writes historical romances and has short stories
published with The Wild Rose Press (thewildrosepress.com). An avid
reader, she decided some years ago to write a novel on her word processor,
not knowing it would turn into a five year project. Since then, she's
lowered her writing time per book considerably and has penned several
manuscripts. Currently, she's working on a "high concept" novel
and hopes this book will lead to her first book sale. She lives with
her family in Michigan and enjoys camping, swimming, and riding snowmobiles.
