The Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America
was formed in 1982 as a non-profit local chapter of Romance Writers of America.
With a current
membership of over 90, GDRWA is dedicated to
promoting the romance genre, and to supporting and
developing the writing
goals of all its members.
Through networking, monthly
meetings, newsletters, conferences, critique sessions and contests,
we at GDRWA
work to provide a stimulating and
productive environment for both the aspiring and the
professional writer.

Robbie got her first taste of being a writer when her mother and
3rd grade teacher conspired to bind the story of her summer vacation.
The 24-page book whet her desire to see her name in print and she’s
been dreaming up stories ever since. Now she spends her days imaging
ways to bring stubborn characters together. Her favorite way to procrastinate
is by reading the latest releases and trying to figure out how one
more book will fit on her bookshelf. If she isn’t at her computer,
Robbie can usually be found at Nordstrom, shopping for shoes and
handbags.
